Kendriya Vidyalaya Gomti Nagar is one of the premier Vidyalayas of the country. It is situated at a distance of 12 Kms from Charbagh railway Station Lucknow, the city of Lord Laxman. Set in a riot of verdant luxurious growth of trees, the Vidyalaya is nested in the cozy surroundings of Gomti Nagar situated between Shaheed Path and National Highway in the heart of Gomti Nagar. The Vidyalaya provides salubrious, congenial and satisfying surroundings for all round development of a child's personality. Our honest endeavor has been to help a child grow into a healthy, responsible and law-abiding citizen, fully trained to make choice in life and thereby leaving an indelible mark on the Sands of time. The highly qualified staff of the Vidyalaya sedulously engage themselves to bring out the innate potentialities of the children to enable them to think and be creative.

Genesis

The Foundation was laid on 29th June 1984 by Hon'ble Smt. Shiela Kaul Minister of Education and Culture Govt. of India and Chairman Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Growth

Initially the School started in a temporary accommodation in civil sector and then it shifted to the new building.

• The School started with primary classes' I-V in 1984.
• In 1991 the School was upgraded to class XII.
• In the Year 2000 the school became 5 sections School.
• In the Year 2011-12 the School became I and II Shifts.
